NEW RELEASE : WE ARE PARASOLS - FULLY AUTOMATED LUXURY COMMUNISM (FEATURING MORIAH WEST)

“Fully Automated Luxury Communism” the third single from Body Horror has landed.

"Fully Automated Luxury Communism" which features Moriah West from Xibling is the only song on Body Horror featuring a guest musician. At some point, early in the Body Horror sessions we had planned to make extensive use of guest musicians, but it didn't take long for us realize that we needed to make an album that was a clear and strong expression of just our three voices. Still, from even the earliest stages of "FALC," it was very obvious to all of us that we wanted our friend, Moriah, to work on the song with us. And she nailed it!

Aside from the collaboration, unlike the previous two singles, I don't really like talking about this song very much. I love this song. I'm proud of this song. This song required a massive amount of work from all of us to reach its potential. Every step in the process of writing, arranging, recording, and mixing made the song richer and more interesting. And I guess I don't like discussing it because there are so many layers of meaning and intent going on that I don't want to contaminate anyone else's interpretation. I know what it's about to me - and it's not just one thing - but I'm pretty sure that it means something a bit different to Deb and to Moriah and probably to Alec too. Since it's an abstract collage of ideas and emotions I think it would be a disservice to the song to strictly impose my interpretation on it or to even say too much about it.
But I really hope it means something to you.

Maybe I'm being obtuse.
Maybe I'm being pretentious.

Maybe I'm insecure.
Maybe it's just complicated.

Maybe it's too much.
Maybe it's not enough.
